(Switch to Googlemap Satellite Hybrid to see image details) I ride this on a mountain bike, the Bow River trails, dirt roads and Cochrane Ranche pathways aren't suitable for road bikes. This is a good route to use for hill training due to the obvious attack of the big hill. Halfway up Gleneagles I leave the roadside pathway and head around the road loop instead of taking the path to the golf clubhouse. This undulation gives a slingshot of speed for the next climbing section past the golf course entry road and up. I have encountered 'no bikes' signs at the Ranche and I will be taking this up with the town if they continue. I've been cycling the pathways in the park for 3 decades and I've done no damage compared to the teens that have tried to light the place on fire and the inane construction that continues to be allowed, ruining half the park (ie, turning the whole coulee section into an access road, running a pipeline through the middle of the forest section...retarded!). Watch for vehicles when using the residential section pathways. The thru-ways come out on the middle of streets with a couple of blind exits. Take a stretch break at the Sunterra pathway or just before the Retreat Road treed section if you want to take in the views.
