(Use Google hybrid satellite/map view. I drew the route based on the images until near the Elbow River where the resolution drops and you have to pan back 3 settings)

This route follows the Mitford Pond trail to the Bow River's edge. Cross the River over the 22 bridge and follow the path around Bow Meadows. Climb the hill at Towers Trail and follow it to TWP 252. Turn South at the paved Jumping Pound Road. TWP road 250 will take you back to the 22 highway where you turn South again. Follow the 22 past the Trans-Canada until you reach the bridge over the Elbow River. Not far past that there is a sign indicating an historical marker. Follow this road back to the marker, mindful that if it has rained, this road turns into a quagmire about half a KM before the marker. Return to the 22 and head back North until you reach TWP 250 but head East towards Springbank this time. At the corner of TWP 250 and RR 40 is a huge buffalo ranch (Tatanka!). Not really sure if they are buffalo or the hybrid beefalo (buffalo/cow) but they're still cool. Review the course closely to get back to the 22 as many of the side roads in this area lead to dead ends. Turn West again at TWP 252 to return to the 22 highway and enjoy the pavement back to the Bow River bridge where you can rejoin the river path system to the starting point.
