I would like to invite any member of MMR/MMF in the Jacksonville, North Carolina arae to join the Eastern Carolina Riders & Runners Group.

I have been a member of the MMR community for about a year now and have enjoyed the website immensely. I have tried to get people interested in the site and have them join with little success. I wanted to get the current users to possibly join the group thatI created and get the word passed. Hopefully this will spur some more interest.

I am a weekend rider looking for riding partners in my area. I am an intermediate level rider - I average around 25km and hour. Not great on big hills but usually get up them eventually! I normally do between 40-70kms and head out on the quite roads towards Cardinia, Koo Wee Rup and Drouin.

There's no prettier place in the fall than coastal Maine! I've got 6 days of 50-100 mile loops mapped out, hopscotching up the coast from Portland to Acadia. We'll alternate between inland (hilly) and coastal routes.

If you have a car, you can participate in as many or as few days as you want. You should average 18-20 MPH on flats with decent climbing ability. We'll stay in budget hotels, driving from point to point. Come enjoy the scenery and crisp cool riding conditions!

We have 7 spaces left on our Appalachian Mountain Club Major ExcursionsBike trip to Tuscany in October. Cost is $1900 plus flights for AMC members and $2000 for non-members. We go all the places the expensive, fancy tours go but for much less! (The trip is run on a not-for-profit basis and there's no sag vehicle). Moderate pace - it's all about enjoying the countryside, views, food etc but it IS hilly. Staying in cosy "Agriturismo" farm houses, cooking some of our own meals.

Hello All,

I'm pretty new to road cycling, but have been mountain biking for a few years now. I bought a nice upper-entry level road bike this spring (Cannondale Synapse), so that I could start riding with my girlfriend. A couple weeks ago she dislocated her shoulder while kayaking, has surgery in May, and won't be biking until late summer. I've been going on rides by myself, but being new I'm having a hard time pushing my pace or finding new routes.

Are there any groups in Columbus, IN that I could tag along on? If there aren't any groups, would any one want to start one with me?

My friend's gf lives in Indy, but I don't feel like driving all the way up there every other day just to ride with her, and she has a wicked 20+ mph pace!
