Sunday 4 October Ride

Erik, Dan, Dave, and Bill are confirmed for a 10AM start on Sunday 4th October. The later start date is to accommodate schedules and to give the temperature a chance to climb a bit. Route TBA by DAN when we start. Plan is to do around 45 or so. See you then!

Training Ride for Lowlander

Some of us are considering doing the Lowlander Century in Mid September. The 'lowlander' still has approximately 4000 ft of climbing, from what I understand. Building on the success of our recent epic ride to Ithaca, I'm wondering if anyone might want to consider a ride to Cooperstown --AND BACK-- the week after next... (the weekend of the 7th). I've mapped it out and if we go out and back it is a bit over 90 miles. if we loop it by returning via 20, we'll face less hills on the return, but it will be more boring and a tad longer [97 miles]. Anyone interested?

the Ride to Ithaca! Sunday 26 July

On 26 July, 3 of our members set off for Ithaca. Facing ominous weather, and unrelenting headwinds, the brave trio pushed on from 8:30AM, and beat their 'virtual partner' on E. Moore's Garmin by a longshot. The riders wish to thank the drivers of the impromptu SAG vehicles, who met us in Ithaca, and to the various Ithaca eateries at which they all filled their bellies (especially rider BW). The same posse intends to ride the Lowlander century in September, and to ride a metric double century (160 miles) as soon as they are released from hospital.

Hi Everyone: Endurance ride tomorrow, Sunday the 18th, beginning at 8AM. Meet at the Bike Shop & we'll negotiate route and distance. Erik and Dan are hoping to do a 60 miler, but as always, we can organize loops that will deposit some riders back in Hamilton as others continue. There's only a 10% chance of rain, so it looks good.

'09 Highlander/Midlander/Lowlander Bike Ride
