    Hi,

I'm fairly new to the site but really enjoying it!

I'd like to set up some goals from myself but am totally lost as to what I need to do.

-Can I create my own "custom" goals (ex. Burn 6000 cal in February) or do I have to choose one of the predifined challenges ?

    - If I can create my own goals how do I do this ? Can't see 'Creat New Goal" type of button/link, etc...

    - What's the difference between a goal and a challenge (if any).

Thanks for your help. Happy running / exercising!

I guess they are still working on customization.  Really the only thing you can do right now is create 30 day "challenges" to lose as much weight or run as many miles as you can.  Hopefully they will set up easily customizable goals soon but as of right now this is all you can do.  They just started these too so I'm sure they are working out any bugs there may be as well.

I set my mileage goal for the month but I can't figure out how to see how many days I have left, only the percentage of my goal I have run.  Any help?

     Thanks,

    Ben

Are we the only ones who can't figure this out?

Does anybody know of a help page / tutorial about Goals & Challenges ?

Seems like a nice idea but cannot see how to make it work...

I think they think you can figure out how long 30 days is. I just ended up counting but when you put in a start date for your 30 day challenge...it also tells you the end date but once you hit submit, i do not know where else to find it. Sorry guys...all I can say is count to 30 from your start day.

    Hi Everyone,

Thanks for posting your messages, and I will try to answer a few questions regarding the new Goals and Challenges section.

We list different "Challenges" and once you sign up for one it becomes your "Goal" to complete it.  This is why we use the two different terms.

If you click on the "Featured Challenges" tab, you will see a few select events (i.e. the ASICS Run, Walk and Cycling challenges).  You will see a link at the top-right of the Featured Challenges box called "all challenges."  This will take you to a page where you can choose a more customizabe challenge.

To look at your goal details, click on "My Goals."  You should see a box with your goal(s) listed.  To the right of the box under the "Actions" header is a "View" link - go ahead and click on this. You should now see your progress bar and a section to the right called "Challenge Tools." Click on the link called "Your Preferences."  This will show you the information (including date range) for your goal.

Thanks to all of you for your patience, as this is a new feature and we continue to fine-tune it!  Good luck with your goals!

Why doesn't it update my weight loss?  I've logged it but the valentines day challenge says I made zero progress.  I think this is supposed to be a motivational tool but it's very discouraging.

In order for your weight to be updated in the challenge, you need to update your profile weight.

When you enter in a new activity, you will see a box next to the Workout Weight box titled, "Update Your Profile Weight."  Check this box and your weight will now register in the Valentine's Day Challenge.

    I hope this helps!

I accidentally added a goal twice - I have been unable to find the "action header", "view link" or the challenge tools to change preferences or delete a challenge.  Please help.

I really have enjoyed the training log - but I do hope that the other bugs are worked out soon.  This site has the potential to be the google of fitness sites.

     Thanks, LostTexan

I signed up for the run and the bike challenge. The system is recording both running and cycling for both challenges. Thus, my 77 bike ride helped put me at 145% of my run goal.

When setting up a weight loss goal, I thought I had set it up to make my goal to lose 5 lbs.  However, I just realized that that I set that up as my total weight goal.  Is there any way to change that?  (Cyne, might you have made the same mistake?  Or perhaps I'm the only genius to make that error...)

I have another variation of the issue that tank2vich logged on March 1st.  I just signed up for one goal -- the ASICS Marathon Walk Challenge.  In my training log, I've entered a number of walks that should count against that challenge, and also a couple of bike rides that shouldn't be counted, but are as well.  Given the longer distances of the bike rides, it makes it look like I'm doing VERY well on the walking challenge! Any chance this will get corrected so that relevant activities will get counted against the correct challenge?  Thanks!

I also put my goal f pounds to lose rather than the weight I want to be and I can't figure out how to change.  I'm the thrid person it seems who has done this.  The question must not be specific enough.  How do I fix it?
