Is it possible to take routes mapped using CSV files for elevation and put them into Computrainer so one can ride these routes?

Does anyone know if the Training peaks software will allow you to do this? Does anyone know how to import to a computrainer from a garmin edge 305.?

You can import standard text files into CompuTrainer 3D Software.  The format is in the manual. It is basically a list of distance - grade - wind.

However, I could not see where you could export data from here into that format.  Export options from here (MapMyRide) were in more of a GPS format.

Per your second comment - I agree - It sure would be handy to Map a ride here, then load it as a course into a CompuTrainer...

    Here is what I found:

    Re: Training Peaks

From this http://www.trainingpeaks.com/uploadhardware.asp it looks like Training Peaks can import CompuTrainer performance data but I could not see where you could use TrainingPeaks to export data to CompuTrainer.

This http://www.computrainer.com/rm_inc/garmin.htm looks promising.  It looks like you could 1) export your Mapped Rides from here into a GPX format (SaveAs from the mapping menu) 2) import them into this GPS CourseCreator software, then 3) Load them into CompuTrainer 3D software.  Whew.

They have the manual on-line...but it sure would be nice to test this out before buying it.
