Things are still a bit slow (tho at first I attributed this to the fact that, I suppose, many more users are testing it since the email announcement of the new beta engine). i find things a bit faster this afternoon (several hours later)... but still kinda clunky. the most chronic issue is that i keep getting these "loop backs"... where I attempt to plot the next point up the road (while using "follow roads" feature) and I get the point I want but it also makes some crazy loop back up the road to where I just came from using some "as the crow flies" or other road-following path. it makes a mess of thngs... tho i have noticed that if you keep clicking "undo" repeatedly (and I mean dozens of clicks) you can slowly erase the errant part of the path and restore things to normal. but then when you try to plot the next point you get a similar issue. haven't tested this enough... but I believe the problem gets worse on longer routes (not sure on that). i wa working with a 40 or 50 mile route. also I am seeing a good elevation profile... but it seems as if I am not getting a cumulative figure on climbing anywhere. am i missing this? apparently no "notes" yet to see the "left & rights" and other additional info you add at markers. i ask to NOT see the mile markers... but I still get them. i try to adjust the mile marker increments and get very odd numbers and can't restore the increments to something simple like "1" or "5". it seems as if there aren't any "points" for me to delete or drag around to edit the route. am i missing something here? or are they coming soon? could use other icon markers... especially one for "Food". it seems as if i can create maps in the new beta engine... but can't open old maps in it? can i edit old maps using the beta engine? OK that's it for now. I am happy to see some progress. But things are still too rough to work with. I hope our feedback helps! thanks for all your efforts, Victor

    Victor,

Thanks for the detailed feedback -- We're rolling out incremental changes based on these responses.  The issue about BETA's is sometimes they are not 100% bug free as we're excited to see feedback before we know that the entire tool is feature-complete / bug-fixed.
