Morning,
We're still actively looking for quality, recognizable sponsors for this program and we're evaluating at what level should users be grandfathered in. The main reason for our initial thought of making MapMyPoints a premium-only feature is that if we're unable to secure a sponsor(s) for this program, it will be out of pocket for us and we need to mitigate this cost...
Please be patient while we are going through this transition -- I appreciate every single user on our site and we're just trying to figure out the best plan of action.
Cheers,
-Kevin

Kevin,
Speaking of MMF points, I was one of the people that you migrated over from Routeslip. You also migrated all of my rides (50+ IIRC), all of which are public, yet I didn't receive any points for those rides. I never really gave it a second though, until now. At 15 pts per public ride, that's 750+ points.
I'm in the same boat here as several others. I can see how it would cost you "out of pocket expenses" but I also see the "we're working on it" as a way out. Granted you need sponsors, but it's been several months that you've been working on it and we have nothing to show for it.
I too accumulated enough for the 20% off, but all I did was take the survey for who the new sponsor would be. That is all I ever saw.
And unfortunately, you set the limit to 4500points which left on the outside looking in, with my 4000+/- points. Now I have to pay to get those points so that I could work my way up to get a discount coupon to somewhere? I'm sorry, but this is one of those areas that causes some grief!
Just my $0.02 though.
