For a long route (80 miles), how do I get a set of maps that show sufficient detail?  The single PDF download is not helpful for navigation.

    Hello dgblanco1,

We're currently working on generating map sets so we can give users the ability to print a sequence of maps for longer routes. You will be able to select this print option when we're finished creating it.

why dont you wait until you're done developing and beta testing until charging users for products? Edit has been unavailable for an extended period, halting my progress. When will it be available?

    DGBlanco1 -

I agree that there should have been more testing before going "commercial."

For printing maps try bikemap.net .   bring your ride up in MMF and do a Save > "Save to GPX" file to your desktop (or wherever) and then open bikemap.net and "Create route"  "Import..."  and upload the same gpx.  Then print the route.  It's not great but you can get a "detailed" map - might be 10 to 20 pages for your 80 mile route.

Peter-DG, thanks for the bikemap.net workaround for printing rescaled map sections.

All purchased maps will be able to be reprinted with the new system without charge, and I must say I think it's looking awesome (but I guess I'm biased since I'm working on it :P)

Paid so that I could print maps.  So far ... not impressed.  Will we receive credit for the time that the program was not working correctly?Frown

Seriously, the old version showed much more details on its maps.  Can you at least use that version until the new print abilities are ready?

Si654, if your profile has units in KM's then the map will print them in KM's, do you think this is a setting that we should explicitly have within the map advanced options itself?
