Lobby: mapping options and edit

I noticed that if I log out and start a new map I now get the option of using either the "old mapping tool" or the "new mapping tool".  The old mapping tool seems to work fine.  I have to log in to save the route.  But after the save I can't continue mapping that route.  It does NOT remember my login form the save operation so when I "map  new ride" again I get the mapping tool selection option.

Would it be possible to set this up so that the old edit tool comes up when I hit edit, rather than the "we are currently working on our Edit Route functionality" message?

Moving a point under edit still does not work - mostly no circle with + in it - so there is nothing to grab to drag and drop - but sometimes it does appear.
