    I train in MMA and run long distances frequently. I have to say that sprint work is much tougher and harder to keep up but I feel like I get more of a workout with distance running. Which is more valuable if either is

    I do mostly long distance stuff too, but add in hills and track work once every week or so.  It's kinda like this- just because you can run 120 miles a week at a 7:30 pace doesn't mean you can churn out a 15 minute 5k, nor a 2:30 marathon.  You have to train your legs to move quickly for an extended time and strictly long distance stuff doesn't do it.  It will prep you for ultramarathons though....
