- i blast past someone on a steep uphill!  

- pretty girls smile at me as i run by them hehe.

- i hear the start of a song i really like and start going faster with seemingly no extra effort

- i realize that most people think i am crazy for what i am doing

 a good song comes on and makes you go faster .

when yourun past people you used to run with.

...  though I do it for ME, I do get a buzz out of when my chums all confess to awe and give me kudos :-)  The ego trip helps the pain and tiredness...

I love it when I'm running and...

-hot girls drive by and yell things at me

-hot guys drive by and yell things at me

-some car doesn't give me any room to run and I hit their car and they come back to argue with me and I end up owning them in an argument.

-I realize that after I'm done I can go eat Taco Bell and drink pop and probably not get fat.

... at the end of the slog up a steep hill I get the most amazing view of the mountains and the coast

... there's a sudden cool breeze in my face when I need it

 

I love it when I go running and ....

neighbors greet me with a smile while passing by

it's mild enough to run without a t-shirt

the stopwatch tells me I've run farther than I think I've actually covered;

a non-impeding headwind hits my face halfway through the run (credit goes to LexB)        ; )

there is enough gas left in the tank to cover just one more mile;

traffic is slow enough during "inner city" runs such that my pace is equal to or faster than the cars themselves!

the local scenery is so captivating as to temporarily distract/ease the mind

I have the chance to draft behind a slow biker/fast runner for a portion of the run (without them even knowing) :)

I see a shooting star.

 

Only happened once, but it totally stopped me in my tracks!

 Also:

When I get to the top of the long hill without stopping.

When I see dolphins in the river.

When I see my boyfriend (on his way back home on his bike) and he says he'll take me out for lunch as a reward for making it home after my long run. And I can eat all I like because I've earnt it.

 

I love when I'm running and...

I exceed my expectations.

I conquer a giant hill.

I blast by someone who looks more fit than me...while I'm pushing my thirty pound son in the stroller.

The humdrum of house after house opens up into something beautiful.

I have gotten up early enough to get a bunch of "good mornings".

I lose my thoughts to something higher and then realizing that I just ran a mile or so and don't remember it...I call it running meditation.

My son gets all excited about something on the road.

When I'm about to give up, my son yells, "Run, Mommy, Runnn!" or "Go, Mommy!"  LoL!  He's my little personal trainer.

I love running when... I can run on the railroad tracks and check out the gorgeous flowers along the way and stand up straight without tripping over all the logs, etc. on the tracks (my boyfriend says he wants the railroad tracks to turn into a bike trail and i say NO WAYYY) I get too distracted from focusing on the gorgeous scenery of the rustic railroad tracks and surrounding area that I forget that I'm even trying to be healthy because I'm enjoying the weather/view so much!

I love it when I'm running and:

 -it's raining outside and people pass me by giving me strange looks because they know i'm crazy

-I pass people walking their dog at 5am with only their pj's on because they didn't know they'd see someone outside at this hour

-I see other runners sharing the same passion

-I see a few bunnies in someone's yard (The closest thing to "wildlife" where I live)

-I get back to my house and see neighbors just waking up when I've already been up for a couple hours

 

 

I love it when i am running and...

 i finish a mountain i felt crazy for trying!!

 when my daughter cheers me on!!

when people see me pushing my stroller up a big hill!!

when my husband drives pass me!!

 

i love it when its 98 degrees with 100% humidity here in new orleans and people look at me like im insane.

 

I love it when I run in the pouring rain and I do a long run and it feels awesome and when people look at me in there cars like im crazy but they know I look boss )

I Love it when I am running and...

• It feels like i could go forever, those happy endorphins kick in
• I see my kids and husband just before the finish line - it makes me go faster
• I see the hot air balloons taking off in front of me
• I see the kookaburras in the trees by the yarra early in the morning
• I run along beside the rowers on the river
• I feel like I am part of a special group when its raining/hot/windy /humid - we smile at each other knowing that we are doing something many people aren't 
• My favorite song comes on the ipod just when I need it like magic - makes me dance on the inside

I love it when I'm running and.... - I run through a sprinkler, though the dog doesn't (??) - I hit the point where I can just run, even when my knee starts to hurt and I don't want to stop. - A great song comes on my i-pod and I mouth along with it and run faster. - I tell my dog to "run hard Molly, you can do it" which I actually say for the both of us. - My daughter shouting "You can do it Mummy", especially at the end of a race. - I see the same people walking for their bus etc everyday and they look at me with admiration. - I feel strong and when I touch my thighs they are rock hard. - I feel 'I love it when I'm running' And I love it when my daughter tells people in the shops that she can run fast and when they ask how fast she says as fast as her Mum. Makes me proud, makes me know she notices, makes me hope for her future that she also runs (she is 3 and my other daughter is 20 months) and that she enjoys exercise and the many benefits it brings including a better, stronger body image.

when I look at my watch to see my mile split and its way faster then I expected.

...I pass an attractive member of the opposite sex and automatically my pace increases and my form tightens up no matter how tired I am. It's like magic, I should map my routes so that towards the end I pass a lot of attractive women.

Yeah right Giggles...like you are passing anyone....heheheheheheheheheheh

i love it when i'm running and....

all my months of training finally paid off with the finishing of my 1st 1/2 marathon in va beach the rock and roll on 8-31-08. and now on to my next one.

when my friends tell me i am crazy but with love
