    One of our 3rd party service providers was down on Sunday, July 20 for approximately 7 hours.  This affecting viewing and saving routes from about 930 PST to 430PST. 

    We still kept the rest of the website up and put up the following message on our create pages:

    "Due to an issue with one of our service providers, the 'save route' feature is currently disabled.  This is temporary and route saving will resume shortly.  In the meantime, you  may use the route tool but be aware that the save functionality has been disabled.  Please check back shortly, as this message will no longer display when services are back to normal.  We apologize for the inconvenience and and working to get this feature back up as soon as possible"

    Because of this downtime we are actively pursuing a better solution that would minimize our reliance on 3rd parties.   We apologize for any inconvenience this downtime caused.
