    Hey folks:

    I saw an ad for this race in the back of Outside Magazine.  Curious if anyone has ever heard (or even better) run it.  Looking at the website and doing surface google searches I cannot find out much information regarding the organization.

    Anyone have suggestions on how to find out the repubility of this race and its organizers?

    The race promoter is also trying to organize a bike race...from the looks of it not going that well. He first opened it to recreational cyclists (probably in response to low registration) and then he recently slashed entry fee. It is his first year. He is locally known to be someone with a lot of ideas but poor execution (to put it mildly). I would stay away from it until the second year. That is certainly what I am going to do.
