This looks like a great site, but one with a pretty steep learning curve.  I am particularly having trouble with the maps that have already been created by others.  For example, I did a search on Bike Rides in the Georgetown, Texas, area and found there are 152.

The very virst one looked great so I decided to drive it first. It is a great ride; however, nearly impossible to follow...and this would be true of any of these rides. With that as a background:

How can I actually follow the route? I have exported a couple of maps to Google Earth; however, unless you zoom way in and look at small parts of the map, you can't get any directions or street information.  Does anyone have any suggestion for going from a map in search with the large overview to one that is actually usable for following the route?

    Thanks

    Steve,

We're working on ways to make maps with notes more apparent -- when some users create new routes, they can turn on 'Auto Notes' when doing Auto Routing.  This populates turn-right, turn-left etc.

With the newly release Cue Sheet View, you'll be able to print foldable versions of these notes so you can follow a route in segments
