The red route is I guess perfect for most people.  But 15% of males are color blind, the majority of those with red green deficiency.

This is unnecessarily unfriendly, as there are alternatives that can be used that will be as distinctive for people without color deficiency. (I cannot recall such a problem with Microsoft software, for example)

Could you please change the route color, or better, provide the user with the ability to change the color within the settings menu?

    Regards
    Brian

Independent of the color of the route, the heavy, wide red route color covers the road names making it very difficult to see the road names.  The old method of using a thin blue line was much, much better.  It showed the route while allowing the name of the route to be visible.  Could we get the old method back?

The blue line was also better from the male color blind perspective.

A thick line with transparency would provide a line that stands out (presumably why it has been changed), but still allowing the information on the road to be visible.
