"Tough As Nails": Settings - how to save "auto-route", elevation...

How do I get the settings like follow roads/auto-route and elevation to stay checked? I have to check these every time I start a new run. Actually I have to check follow roads first, create 2 or more points and then click elevation or I get a mindless pop-up that you have to have 2 points to see the elevation profile. Who cares. Display 1 data point, display nothing, or keep the complaint quiet... Every time I start to create a new run I get a pop-up telling me about my points. Of course the check box to never see this again is already check but it matters not.
