I upload my workout and select bike, but everytime the training log shows I added a run and the log entry needs to be changed. Using IPhone 3G. Also, I have found that the GPS function will reduce the mileage significantly because the map shows me going thru parks etc and not on roads.

Generally I've enjoyed using it on my run, but right now I'm pissed. I had about an hour run on a new coarse and when I went to save it I keep getting a save error and no matter how many times I retried saving it or walking to another location, it wouldn't. So I canceled it and now the run isn't anywhere, it's gone. It's not the first time the error has occurred but the other time it eventually saved. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but if I can't figure it out I will never use it again. There are some positive aspects to the system, but right now I'm to pissed to tell you about them.

Contrary to other people's reported problems, I tried it for the 1st time and it worked flawlessly on a short run! New iPhone G3 this week from BestBuy, downloaded the app flawlessly. Before starting the run, turned off WiFi (as recommended in other blogs to save power), started iPod, started app, verified the settings, set up account to match my internet MapMyRun account, turn on voice feedback............

While doing a walk warm-up, I hit the "Start Recording" button on the home screen, then the actually recording screen shows up, I walk one more block as a warm up, by the time I got there, the GPS icon was on, and hit the Start button and started my run. Checked it a few times to verify it was counting time. A few seconds/minute later there was a strange screen with a lock / unlock buttons. I left it alone, not remembering which was correct (as I read locking the screen creates problems?). At the end of the run, I touched the blank screen, the app reappeared, hit the stop button, it asked me to save, it took a few seconds while I walked my cool down, and then the data and map appeared on the screen. Real cool! It said 1.41 miles..........

Back at home, I logged into my computer, without syncing the iPhone just to see what the MapMyFitness website would say, and the run was there with all the data including the map! By the way, I have manually inputted and measured this route on the website for prior runs which totalled 1.40 miles! Only 0.01 miles differrent!!! So it was very accurate! Very pleased!..........

For those who care, I used a Power Support Crystal jacket with Holster. Its a clear acrylic case which preserves the beauty of the iPhone, and comes with a detachable belt clip. The Phone snaps in place, seemed secure, but probably not 100% secure like arm bands. (I never liked arm bands because they slide around and I would probably sweat too much in the spring/summer). It also swivels to horizontal for more comfort. Its not waterproof, but the case wraps over the screen protector and the case has the typical openings for the various switches. Or you can swivel rotate the clip it so the right hand side of the iPhone, which has no switches, is up. In the rain, I use a running vest anyway. Very pleased with this app! Thanks MapMyRun for creating this!

I also have a windows phone (HTC touch HD) which is GPS enabled and would love to have a similar app to iPhone. Any chance of this?
