Help!: Cannot edit/remove part of a route

    2 problems here:

     1) As I build maps, the tool sometimes takes liberties when I am moving along roads. Sometimes it doubles back, goes way out, and then comes back rather than taking the simpler shorter correct route. I don't always catch this as sometimes I am in a hurry. So that leads to #2

     2) I now have a route built, that I cannot edit. The route has about one mile of extra stuff added in from #1, and I cannot remove it, regardless of what I do. Any attempt to edit the route just makes it longer. I have a stretch of about 1 mile that I just want to remove. I see no way to do it. If I click the Undo button, the tool goes to the end of my route and removes from there.

     I am using the new mapping tool.

     Any help would be appreciated.

    This is exactly the issue I am having too. I don't know when these extra legs are being added to the routes. I don't see it happening when I am building the route. I only catch it once I am editing the cue sheet. Help!

    I am having the same problem.  It would be nice to be able to delete a segment and re-route it.

    I just ran into this problem as well and it looks that it is not resolved in the last year. It is really annoying after having spent quite a bit of time on a route to have it get hosed like this. It is also really annoying that there is no where at all on this site that I can find to send mail to a support contact. That is what I call poor service.

    #1 - I've had this problem but I think I've got it sussed.  It usually happens when I click the mouse further to the right hand side of the 'road'.  I'm in England and we ride on the left.  Therefore, the computer thinks I want to go to a location situated on the right hand side of the road so it takes me to the nearest roundabout and comes back so that I am facing 'the right way' for the location the computer thinks I want. 

     I now make sure that I keep my mouse nearer to the left hand side of the road and I've not had this problem since.

     

    #2 - I've not found a way of editing it out if you don't catch it straight away.  Sorry

    I have uploaded a worked on map from my Garmin as a gpx file

     But, the MapMyRide site has added an extra leg to the route which I am unable to delete.  Would like to see this issue solved so I can calculate the actual route and map the portion to ride.

    Same problem, but when I position by cursor over one of the "boxes" on a route, sometimes I get a dialog box that gives me the choice to delete from that point to the end, that point to the beginning, or to delete the whole route.  Trouble is I can't remember what I did (click once, click twice, right click v. left click, clich and a the same time have my tongue pressed against the inside of my left cheek and chant a mantra).

     Very frustrating

    No "help" feature to tell me how to do this.

     Poorly supported.  Too bad.  It's a great idea and tool when it works.

     Anyone know how to delete a segment of a route?
