by: Colleenann61 - Jan 28 2008, 6:34PM I'll save the 1000 mile challenge for when I bike across the country!

by: swimmit27 - Jan 27 2008, 10:35PM  That's because I set my goal tracker to start at the end of the month.. you know, once I am really in the groove! You really should create a goal of 1000 miles for yourself anyway! Now, that's a challenge!

by: Colleenann61 - Jan 27 2008, 1:45PM Hey Amy, you need to track your running miles on your training. The Run 100 Miles Challenge says you have 0% of your goal. I am in 25th place with 58.6% of my goal on the Bike 300 Miles. Of course there are not as many biking as running (200 vs. 850).

by: Colleenann61 - Jan 24 2008, 6:54PM Mary Beth is set on the 18. Probably good for her first organized ride experiance. Although she would be capable of the 45. Looking forward to the food, fun and friends!!!

by: swimmit27 - Jan 23 2008, 12:55AM Ooh, now I have 2 other signed on for the 18. IF it's fabulous I wonder what they would say.... . You remember Jill from our New Years ride, she's in and so is Shanon, whom you haven't met yet. Still awaiting the decision of 2 more... this is going to be fun! Lots of Ladies!

by: leandrab - Jan 21 2008, 11:13PM Per the email, ride weather is supposed to be great. Sounds like somebody might be doing the 40-miler after all. Maybe MB could be talked into doing the 40 too....under the influence of Farrah-hair hairspray fumes, everything is negotiable.Â

by: Colleenann61 - Jan 19 2008, 2:37PM Perhaps we could put our helmets on and pull our hair out through the holes then curl/spray it into place ala the Farrah Fawcett Helmet!! Although, taking it off could be painful. We could be Charlie's Angels!!!...without Charlie...who needs him...they never saw him anyway.
Mary Beth is doing the ride so I am going to send her an invite to join our exclusive group of Super Biker Women's Friends.

by: leandrab - Jan 19 2008, 12:10PM Leg warmers are actually back in, I believe. I'm sure I've seen them...in stores, but not on actual people yet. Mascot = Cyndi Lauper?Â
I used to be a BOLD HOLD girl, myself. Snow would pile up on my bangs while skiing and melt, and yet my bangs held in perfect form. Really, the 80's are why there is no ozone.
Amy, maybe you should run that Aquanet helmet by the bike shop guy, just for fun, but make sure you take the helmet cam because you know his expression will be priceless. It screams Mastercard commercial. You may have a million dollar idea there. Everything else is disposable these days so why not a spray-on helmet. Having perfect hair is very big with some people...you may even increase biking participation as an off-shoot of your fabulous product. If only the breathability issue could be conquered.

by: Colleenann61 - Jan 15 2008, 7:45PM Leg Warmers! What a great idea! I'll be on the lookout for some (maybe Goodwill). Fun and functional!
Amy, you can pass onto Stephanie that I have made reservations at the Travelodge (949 E. Burnside). It is less than a mile from the start. The cost for the night is $51.13 (I signed up for this trial period of some travel thing and got $30.00 off. Otherwise is was $82.13--I'll just cancel it as soon as I get the materials). There are 2 queen beds. I talked to Mary Beth and she is considering doing the ride. She would do the 18 mile course. She'll think about it.
