by: tarheel_98 - Jun 2 2008, 12:11AM Hi Katie,
Terry and I have 14mi and 16mi on the schedule the next two weekends. I am not sure we are up for 8:00 pace for the entire run but after a warmup we could chase you for a bit I suppose. I have to get out very early this weekend because I want to take my kids to the St. Al's Capitol Classic Run. Are you doing flat or hills?
We should compare notes on schedules. I don't know who Michelle is but it sounds like she has you working hard.
What are other sloths doing?

by: KatieRuns - May 28 2008, 2:00PM Hi gang!
How was the Potato run? Hot?
I am training with a schedule by Michelle StanWiens, who is coaching me this summer. I'm doing some pretty high mileage workouts each week pretty early in the season already.
Is anyone interested in 2 hr 15 min+ runs the next couple of weeks? I've been better at negative splitting and keeping to an average 8:00-8:10 pace. If you are interested in running weekends or longer double-digit runs during the week - let me know! It gets very monotonous out there alone. :)
Hope everyone is great! Hopefully we'll see you Saturday. What time have you been starting out?

by: terrysloth - Apr 25 2008, 9:52PM Per our previous discussion, I reserved four rooms in Stanley for the two teams. The rooms will be in the same building.

by: tethridge - Apr 24 2008, 9:30PM Howdy all. How many teams do we have so far and are we looking for runners to fill spots? Any plans yet on places to stay in Stanley or Ketchum?

by: terrysloth - Apr 23 2008, 5:07PM Meeting time Saturday is 7:30 at Barber Park. We will be running by 7:40. Route is the 8-miler up Oregon Trail, per the event route. We will shorten the run slightly by eliminating the bathroom stop on the way up, unless needed.
I'm hungry.

by: terrysloth - Apr 13 2008, 9:05PM I drove up the back side of the course today up to Adalpe. Here is the current condition.
Summit is dry. Looking down the front side looks dry, but the view is limited there. The backside has water running down the road, mud (spatty, but not deep), or snow (slush or slush with hard base) for the first mile or so. The snow section only covers about 0.3 miles. Once you get to the hard switch back turn to the right that points you down the hill (creek appears on the right now and you are still above the houses), it is dry all the way down.
I think the snow will be melted completely during the week, but I expect water to continue to run down the road due to snow pack on the side hill. Your feet might get wet and there will be some slippery sections, but it won't be too bad for for too long. Careful people will probably want to back off a little for the first mile. I plan to run fast and fall.

by: tarheel_98 - Apr 10 2008, 9:20AM Suggestion is for a 8 mile loop starting at Shoreline. We'll include the Orchard loop for a little incline. Meet at 7:25 for a 7:30 start time. 'Tis better to get out early to beat the heat, plus terrysloth REALLY chomps at the bits to get to breakfast.

by: terrysloth - Apr 9 2008, 8:56AM Who is setting up the route for Saturday? The full sloths are looking for an easy 8. One of the full sloths is looking for an easy breakfast.

by: terrysloth - Mar 30 2008, 11:03PM We will be having our annual party again this year after the race. I sent an email out with the details, and I have most of your email addresses included; however, there are a few that I'm missing. I didn't want to post this info on the site, so please contact myself by phone (listed in the book), or send an email to Rob (email posted on the home page), to get the email forwarded to you. See you there!!!
