Full Description

Seven days of fantastic riding in the Colorado Rocky Mountains begins and ends in Gunnison, Colorado. Arrive in Gunnison on Saturday, August 2, for check in and local festivities. Ride the tour from August 3 through August 9. This is a fully supported ride. You’ll have options for local hotels or inns, indoor or outdoor camping, and tasty meals. Along the way, you’re supported with Aid Stations stocked with energy food, drinks and water, bike repair service, medical services, a clearly marked route (no getting lost!), and sag vehicles. We’ll move your bags (yes, you can take two!) every day to the designated daily site, or, for a little extra your bags can be dropped at various local sites, hotels, etc. (see Alpine Cycle Connection). There will be services at different overnight stops to take you around town to area restaurants and hotels. Each rider’s registration comes with a 2008 Colorado Rocky Mountain Bike Tour T-shirt, map book, water bottle and other goodies. Our goal is to provide a safe, challenging, and fun ride. The challenge comes from the great Colorado Rocky Mountains. The fun comes from a well organized event that you share with your friends without the trouble of finding places to stay, food to eat, with help along the way, and getting your bags from town to town. The safety comes from a sanctioned ride monitored by the Colorado State Patrol, CRMBT ride marshals and most importantly you. Ride participation starts at $300 (for early registrants) per rider with discounts of groups over six riders. Join us for a great summer vacation. It’s a ride you’ll always remember!
