description: This is a direct mapping of the Megahurtz riding groups Extended UniversityMcCainBenson ride but it takes Mile Wide road cutting off about 3 miles of boring riding. Be aware that Sandario across the Nation is not in good repair. Benson, Valencia, Frontage, Kolb is another boring stretch of road, but is also 50 to 55 MPH. Benson has LOVELY wide shoulders. The frontage road does not have that much traffic but Kolb is a major route into Tucson and is very rough pavement but not potholed nor broken. Aviation is NOT a bike friendly area but has a bike path along most, if not all of the route of the road. Also, this route takes you through Gates Pass which is ONE impressive climb starting at Silverbell/St Marys and not ending for a few miles. If your hill climbing abilities are limited, this is NOT a recommended ride, but you can ride down Grande/Mission and ride down Irvington to Kolb and back.

description: This is a training ride for the second half of the El Tour de Tucson and follows, with the exception of the detour to the Marana Civic Center, the route of the Tour from Ina Road to the end at the Tucson Civic Center (TCC). Start and End point is the flag pole at the University of Arizona. This route is ridden in the reverse direction of the Tour as it is more challanging, but the ride in the Tour direction, up 1st, down Ina, up Oracle to 'Tangerine Hill', down Tangerine and up Silverbell is the actual Tour path.
