description: As a component of a revolutionary wellness challenge sponsored by HealthBux and its strategic alliances, Lifeclinic International and Hinda Incentives, 57 leaders in the health industry tested the HealthBux pedometer at the Consumer Health World Conference in Washington DC December 11-13. Even though many of them wore the pedometer only for a few hours, together, we walked a total of 160 miles during a 2 day period packed with educational (and sedentary) events. In honor of her alma mater, HealthBux CEO Alison Earles tracked the group walk from the Omni Shoreham Hotel to Princeton University. 160 miles! Congratulations, leaders! You walk the talk and HealthBux proved it!!

description: This is a great non-rushour/holiday ride. From Capitol Hill, you go down the National Mall past the Smithsonian Museums, the Washington Monument, the WWII, Vietnam and Lincoln Memorials. Continue along the Potomac River via Rock Creek PKWY by the Kennedy Center, turn left into Thompson's Boathouse to the Washington Harbour and the Georgetown Waterfront. Continue on the Capital Crescent trail, with a gentle but steady 7.5 mile climb to downtown Bethesda. Contining to Chevy Chase, the Trail (now marked Georgetown Branch Trail) becomes hard pack gravel after the Bethsda Tunnel to Silver Spring. If you need repairs or some cool bike Swag, stop at CityBikes on the trial just after CT. Ave. Continue right past # 2 and #17 at Columbia CC. Pick up the Rock Creek trail .25 mi after the B&O Trestle Bridge. Follow the Rock Creek trial, parts of which are on Beach Drive (so look out for cars on weekdays-- weekends most of Beach Drive is closed to Auto traffic. There is one short climb at Wise Rd then it's all downhill back to Thompson's Boathouse in G'town. Follow the river back to the Lincoln Memorial, up the mall to the Capitol.
