location: Boston, Massachusetts distance: 135.18 mi. | Route Type: Bike Ride Tags: Back Country, Century, City, Long Distance, Low Traffic Area, Quiet, River, Rollers, Rolling Hills, Rural, Scenic, Suburban created by: description: If you're up for a long ride, this is a good one. The Harpoon Brewery hosts this ride on the downlow each year. If you want to try it, this is the typical route. It's a big day, and there's only 2 offical water stops. There are tons of towns to fill in the gaps. Great scenery, especially after mile 90 or so! View | Print | Bookmark | Write a Story | Tell-A-Friend | Send a Message |

location: Boston, Massachusetts distance: 27.26 mi. | Route Type: Bike Ride created by: description: The full loop of Charles River Reservation, Boston Museum of Science, MIT, BU, Harvard, Cambridge Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Watertown, Newton, Waltham, and back. When in doubt follow the little yellow duck footsteps to the right bank of the river. Recent wooden foot-bridges (2005) allow you to connect the full loop in a super nicely paved bike loop. End at the Waltham cemetary, a beautiful setting by the tail end of the Charles River Reservation, where the river widens and makes many loops and coves before hitting Route 128/Interstate 95. Takes about 3 hours at full speed (with interruptions and some off trail). View | Print | Bookmark | Write a Story | Tell-A-Friend | Send a Message |
