location: Milford, Michigan distance: 0.28 mi. | Route Type: Bike Ride Tags: Fast Downhill created by: description: Short steep downhill where you can reach 45 plus mph. Drop of only 90 feet or so in a 1/3 mile, watch out for slight waves in pavement. Course flattens out on the bridge and you can carry your speed up into the turn, watch for traffic, joggers, etc. I reached my lifetime best of 47.7 mph on this downhill on my recumbent. I think this is the fastest downhill at Kensington Metro Park due to its short steep run. View | Print | Bookmark | Write a Story | Tell-A-Friend | Send a Message |

location: Milford, Michigan distance: 0.83 mi. | Route Type: Bike Ride created by: description: 184 foot drop within one kilometer (0.62 mile), then it levels off for about 0.2 (2/10ths of a mile). You might be able to power through 200 meters (1/8th of a mile) at speeds over 45 mph along this flat stretch. The road drops briefly by another 3 feet, then it will start to ride a bit after Spencer Road. But in all the road will continue to drop all the way down to the I-96 interchange. This should make for a fast mile and half. View | Print | Bookmark | Write a Story | Tell-A-Friend | Send a Message |

location: Milford, Michigan distance: 60.26 mi. | Route Type: Bike Ride Tags: Pavement, onroad, urban, rural, rolling Hills, bike Path, waterfront created by: description: I took this ride on a Sunday and defined the 100 Km route after consulting maps showing road ratings for cyclists - traffic volume, shoulder, paved/unpaved etc. Not being familiar with this portion of highway M59, but seeing it listed with a "wide shoulder", I included it in the route. This came out to be not much enjoyable for a) there are nicer places to ride than along a high-traffic highway; b) the shoulder pavement is rough with plenty of debris and stinky roadside kill.
