location: Portland, Oregon distance: 54.42 mi. | Route Type: Bike Ride Tags: Back Country, Dirt Roads, Hilly, Moderate Climb, Quiet, Rollers, Rolling Hills, Rural, Scenic, Suburban created by: description: Nice and relaxing - one of my favorite early season rides - not much car traffic after first 15 miles. About 2 miles of dirt road though leading to Skyline (handled easy enough on 23c tires - maybe not for the uneasy, I'm more of a mountain biker so it doesn't really phase me). If you want more climbing, drop down Barnes Rd on the right (right after Cornelius Pass), turn Left on Kaiser, then left on Springville Rd back up to Skyline (adds about 10 miles and 1000 ft or so).
