The ferry takes you to Vashon Island, where you can ride the Vashon Island loop described in the "Biking Puget Sound" book (small variation on this mapped ride). The ferry brings you back to West Seattle, where you ride around the north end of West Seattle, and head back to Beacon Hill. Lots of hills, not too much traffic (at least on weekends).
