Rambouillet to St.-Remy-les-Chevreuse
An easy ride (generally downhill) through the forest of Rambouillet and the natural park of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse. Starting from Rambouillet, you ride into the forest, skirting the edges of a pond for a couple hundred meters, then go through the villages of Vieille-Église-en-Yvelines and Auffargis. You can stop at the former abbey of Le Vaux de Cernay, now a hotel and restaurant, then a side trip through Senlisse leads to Dampierre with its château.
