Hill Billy 50 Mile Challenge Ride 4th Sept 2011
The Hill Billy 50 mile Challenge Ride has been planned and ridden by the Kidsgrove Wheelers Cycling Club. They have designed the course for the cyclist that enjoys the challenge of riding the hills. The route encorparates 'Gunn Hill', part of the Tour of Britain, you will be grinding your crank arms up the Dumbers a 10% climb and the infamous MowCop. The route has an overall climb of over 5000ft with some breath taking views of the Staffordshire Moorlands. When you have clocked approx 25 miles you will have reached you half way refuelling point in Meerbrook. The Hill Billy 50 mile Challenge ride takes place on the Sunday 9th Sept 2012 and starts at the new 4.2 million pound Fire Station at 08.30am and finishes at 16.00hrs.
