Bike Ride Description
Loop starting and ending at Calvary Fellowship Church at the corner of W. Amazon and Fox Hollow. After winding north through town and around the UO, this ride picks up part of the Riverbank Trail and connects to Franklin Blvd in Glenwood. Winding through the back part of Glenwood, it picks up Franklin again and takes Seavey Loop Rd near Mt Pisgah and on toward Hwy 58. I hate riding Hwy 58 but this ride avoids much time on that hwy. Crossing Hwy 58, it takes Matthews Rd, then a short stint on 58, crossing over to Brabham. Turning on Winding Way, there is a short steep section that takes you up to a place where you have to look for a dirt trail going off the road to the right. This short little trail connects to Zephyr Way. You may have to walk your bike through the brambles, but it's worth it to avoid Hwy 58. Turing left on Ridgeway Rd, this road goes past the Ken Kesey farm (hence the name "Further") The Jasper Pleasant Hill Road takes you back to Hwy 58, where you cross and connect to an access road. You'll have walk your bike around a fence, then do a little creative ride through Pleasant Hill High to connect to Enterprise Rd. Enterprise will connect you to some wonderful rural riding east of Creswell. The ride back involves a couple of miles on Hwy 99 (watch out for the speeding cars) then Dillard Rd back to Eugene. The Dillard climb is the biggest on this ride, but it ends with a twisting descent into Eugene near where you started.
