Description of this Bike Ride

The Mike Horgan Hillclimb bicycle race - Sugarloaf route. The hillclimb is a road bicycle race that starts in Boulder and climbs to the mountain town of Nederland. The BoulderRacing.com event is open to all cyclists from first timers and beginners to the seasoned professionals, all are welcome. The route uses semi-closed roads and a police escort for a safe, once a year opportunity to ride worry free up Boulder Canyon. The course alternates every year, always up Boulder Canyon with either a right turn on Sugarloaf Rd ending at Nederland Elementary School or a left turn on Magnolia ending near Eldora SKi Resort.
