Great route, countryside route witth views of the catoctin mountains all the way. rolling hills except one long one on old frederick road. toward the end of the ride is a bit of travel on Route 15 South which is a 2 lane highway that is shared by cyclists. there are ways to avoid this easily by back tracing to mountaindale rd and back the same way as the first 4 miles of the ride. - a 21.2 mi cycling route in Frederick, Maryland
