Description of this Mtn Biking

Starting along the Esplanade at Burleigh the ride shares bike and pedestrian paths for much of the way, with much of the road sections in allocated bikeways. Only through Surfers Paradise does it become a case of sharing the road with tourists and the odd over-excited erratic prankster. Pushing north and keeping to the bike tracks and Esplanades gives way to a great section of compacted off-road path with the odd soft sand washout. This leads to the sea way itself and you can ride right to the tip of it and look back past the apartment towers at Surfers to Burliegh in the misty distance!
