Cross the Thames River on the Gold Star Bridge bike path, follow Rt. 1 to Westerly, then take 1A south until reaching the point at Watch Hill. Once leaving Mystic the traffic decreases and the roads open up a bit...the Westerly/Watch Hill area is beautiful.
