Description of this Bike Ride

Starting at the Erie Intermodal Transportation Center (Bayfront Parkway at Holland Rd), the route heads west briefly, then turns to follow the loop on Presque Isle peninsula. The route then follows PA-5 (W. Lake / Godfrey Rd) west to the turnaround at Elk Creek in Lake City. The return parallels PA-5 on a low traffic road (Martin Ave / Middle Rd) before rejoining PA-5 and returning to the start. The route is mostly flat and prone to windy conditions. There is significant traffic, but a rideable shoulder where it follows PA-5 and most other sections have fairly low traffic.
