HCRA 2014 - Century Route (99.9 miles)
This is the Century Route for the 2014 Hill Country Ride for AIDS - note the route allows Century riders two opportunities to stop at the lunch pit. Route opens for ride-out from 7:30 to 7:40 only (Century Riders only; arrive at 7 AM). If you arrive late, you'll depart for your route with the 8:30 ride-out. By joining this ride you agree that SAG may sweep you forward if they believe that you won't be at finish by 4PM. You'll be able to enjoy six pit stops along the route, including two visits to lunch. Please plan your average speed (min 15pmh overall) and stops (10 mins at pits, 20 at lunch) to ensure that you arrive at entry to the Century Loop at mile 46.3 before 11:30 AM (ideally by 11 AM) when that entry closes. After 11:30 all riders will be directed straight toward Reunion Ranch, following the 53 & 70 mile routes. The route cue sheets that you will receive have suggested pace times in the far right column. Roads are open to all traffic, so ride with care, obey all laws, and remain aware of your surroundings as well as your own heat, hydration, and exhaustion issues.
