lowflyinghemi Starts out flat and then takes a moderate winding climb out of the valley to another flat area until you reach Graham (about 20 miles). From Graham it is undulating with a few fairly steep short hilly sections over a distance of about 16 miles. The last 8 miles up to the Lodge at Mount baker is a steady climb with no flat or downhill sections. Traffic is light mid week and early in the day. No water or services after you leave Graham until the top of Mount Baker(25 miles). Be prepared for changing mountain weather. It is much colder at the top and the ride down is not too fast as it is a very curvy road (a jacket is a good idea). Food choices are better at Maple Falls. Be prepared for some showers and if you get wet it will be very cold at the top of Mount Baker and especially on the 8 miles downhill ride.
