Description:
Route starts and ends at intersection of rte 118 and Moosilauke Lodge Road in Warren NH. Mileage is approx. 110. This route adds a major descent (beginning) and ascent (end) to the popular white mountain century loop. Route is a beautiful tour through the high notches of New Hamsphire's White Mountains. Start on rte 118, climb for approx. 1 mile then descend to rte 112. Left on 112 climbing over Kinsman Notch. Right on 116 toward Franconia. Left on Sugar Hill Rd. Turn right (at sugar hill sign) and then turn left (200 yards) and follow to 117. Turn right on 117 climb over Sugar Hill and descend to rte 18 in Franconia. Right on 18 through the town of Franconia continue strait on 18 and climb to the top of Franconia Notch. Cross over I-93 and turn left at sign for Franconia Bike Path. Bike Path merges with Rte 3, follow 3 to Twin Mountain. Turn right on 302, continue through Crawford Notch to Bartlett and turn right on Bear Notch Road. Turn right on 112 climb over Kancamagus Pass (highest point of ride 2855 feet) and descend to Lincoln. Continue strait on 112 through N. Woodstock. Left on 118 climbing to 2500 ft followed by a short descent to start point.
