As runners, we fight special battles most people never have to think about. The sting of sunscreen dripping into your eyes is something we’ve all had to endure. And chafing is its own beast altogether.

MISSION Product was created by top athletes working together with scientists to cover the unique needs of runners. Endurance runner Charlie Engle came up with the idea for MISSION after running across the Sahara Desert in 111 days covering 50-something miles a day. Insane. I recently tested MISSION myself – minus the Sahara – and they don’t just claim to cater to us. They really do.

It stayed on all the way through to the end of my run, no problem. It’s also greaseless, oil-free and is enriched with vitamin E. The tube application keeps your hands clean and is compact enough to go anywhere. It’s the perfect size for your face but I’d really like to see it come in a bigger size to slather on your whole body.

The <a title="MISSION Anti-Friction Cream" href="http://www.missionproduct.com/product/antifriction-cream.html">Anti-Friction Cream is really superior. I’m not sure what it’s made from but it has a powdery quality that stays dry and cool through my long training sessions – and it completely eliminates chafing. Get rid of the Band Aids and goopy gels that get all over your clothes. It’s also antibacterial so it will help clear up chafing you may already have.

MISSION Product is preservative, irritant, and animal cruelty free. It’s a nice bonus to know that while I’m saving my skin from the elements, I’m helping the environment.
