So a friend and i decided to ride out to PC. We got up bright and early so we could hopefully get there while the sun was still up. 2 miles from our house my friend had a flat tire, and we didnt have any spare tubes. So we wait around down town salem until a bike shop opended up.... at 9. We waited for 2  hours, then we were back on the road. Mostly uneventful, my friend dropped his water bottle and i ran over it. Then with only 10 miles the unthinkable happened, my left peddel sheared off my bike. So being the smart guy i am i rode the last 10 miles with just my right leg. We finally got to Pacific City and had a nice dinner at The Pelican, put our bikes on the back of my car (a very kind friend came to pick us up). Not to far outside of PC i heard a crashing noise but ignored it. Well when we got home my rear wheel had fallen off somewhere on the way back. so all in all this trip cost me $20 for a new crank arm, $250 for a new rear wheel, $40 for a new tire, and $45 for a new cassette so total $355. What a day
