It was a cold and windy day

Posted in Stinky Story by Free MemberEAbramson

I didn't want to run today, but I had promised a co-worker that I would try this program out on my iPhone. Well, like I said, it was a cold and windy day; 40 degrees, 15 mph winds, making it feel like 31 degrees. The sun fooled me into thinking it was warm and my office was hot. Shorts, tank-top over t-shirt. At first it was a little chilly, then it warmed up. Ran my usual route up until Adams Street when I decided that instead of the bridge I was going to run around Cadman Plaza Park, but I couldn't resist. I started to run up that bridge (Brooklyn) and the wind got more blustery then on the street, and there were no other joggers on the bridge. I push to the first tower and looked over the span, I would have cross the span, over the water without any real insulation, down the Manhattan side and back. Nope, not today. I tapped that Brooklyn tower and promptly high stepped to the Gym. The wind did provide the extra resistance that I missed and now I know what it feels like to run in the cold. This program worked great too.

I don't quite understand how these comments work yet but thought I would add why I liked it. I love any reason to run! I especially love the way that running can take you to places unexpected. Thanks for sharing!
