Cody, WY, United States

This is the most beautiful ride in all Wyoming. It can start anywhere along the North Fork Highway. For most miles start at the Buffalo Bill Rservoir Dam and head west towards Yellowstone. At 20 miles you enter the Shoshone National Forest ( also a good starting point for fewer miles). The ride thru the forest is a gradual up hill riding thru a canyon of towering peaks and the Shoshone river. The road has 5' shoulders with no rumble strips and there a numerous campgrounds and picnic areas along the ride for restrooms. The only 'establishment' is Pahaska Teepee at about 45 miles into the ride. The ride can go all the way to the East Entrance of Yellowstone and you can turna round at any point. Depending on the season you ride, you can see Buffalo, Mule deer, Big Horn Sheep, Grizzlie Bears, Wolves, Moose, Elk, Coyotes and foxes. Early spring is best time to see all the wildlife before the traffic picks ups.
