Begins in:
Kennesaw, GA, United States
Created By:

Description:
Not as daunting or physically demanding as north Georgia's famed "three-" and "six gap" climbs, this route winds along quiet, scenic roads as it crests above lake Allatoona, then heads south toward the historic civil war-era district of Marietta Square. Of the three mountains covered along the way (being Lead, Red Top, and Kennesaw), the 1 mi. ride up Kennesaw poses the only significant challenge to the average cyclist, but rider be warned: there is also a short, but hellishly steep section going up Bevil Ridge Rd. For those looking for a sag stop, don't miss the chance to stop off in Marietta Square at Cool Beans Coffee House to refuel on coffee and excellent pastries!
