This is one beautiful ride!! One of my very favorites! High Sierras, Lakes. Long downhill and some good climbs as well. The Eastern Sierras are very stunning!

This is a one-way ride, need to make shuttle arrangements. Plan to spend the night in Tuolumne Meadows (lots of day hikes/walks available) and the next in Mammoth Lakes. Your non-riders can move the vehicles (and meet you for lunch at June Lake).

Start in Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park (about 8900') at the general store area.

Head east on Highway 120 to the Park entranace at Tioga Pass. This is a moderate climb of about 1000' over 9 miles. Tioga Pass is the highest publically maintained road in Califorina (9941'). Mt Dana, bare and to your east is just over 13,000 feet (nice hike to the top, but that for another time).

From here the next 10 miles is one nice downhill run (approx. 3100')! The road nice sweeping curves for the most part, so you can really get your speed up (just be at the ready w/the brakes).

At Lee Vining (US 395) head south (right). Notice Mono Craters in the distance off to the Southeast. To the west are the beautiful High Sierra mountains. This peaks average 12,000 to 13,000 feet here

Turn onto June Lake Loop road (Highway 158). This loop rewards you with four (4) lovely lakes, June lake being the last (traveling North to South).

Take Time at June Lake (village) and enjoy lunch or a bite to eat at one of the bakeries!

Shortly after June lake you connect again w/US 395. Continue heading south (right).

There's a moderate climb to Deadman's Summit. Then final 12 miles is a very moderate downhill run into Mammoth Lakes.
