This a another really good all round training ride. Two good climbs and the final 7 + miles is basically flat for a good power workout! <br> <br> Start at Rancho San Diego Shopping Center (Starbuck&#039;s, Coffee Grounds, Janet&#039;s Cafe and assorted fast food). <br> <br> This ride has two good climbs. The first up to Crest (3+ miles, avg. 7-8%), the second up Dehesa/Tavern Rds. (4+ miles, avg. 5-6%). <br> <br> As an alternative perform intervals up Dehesa. <br> <br> You descend lower Harbison Canyon twice on this ride. <br> <br> After reaching the bottim of Harbison Canyon for the second time it&#039;s approx. 8 miles of basically flat road (inc. 1 mile on Harbison Canyon Rd, turns into Dehesa Rd) back to the start. <br> <br> This final 8 miles is the power workout portion of the ride! <br> <br> Typically there can be a bit of a headwind (at times can be quite strong) coming back in. Don&#039;t let this slow you down - hammer on! <br> <br> For the Final 7+ miles: <br> a) Solo - try to maintain a 20+ mph pace <br> <br> b) Group - there are some nice shoulders along Dehesa and Willow Glen Rds. Get the paceline in motion maintaining a 24+ mph pace back to the start. <br> <br> A very good all round workout! <br> <br> Now enjoy something to drink and/or eat!! <br>
