The CHaFE 150 bike ride Saturday, September 13, 2008 Attention, cyclists in search of a challenge! Come ride with us on our first-ever, one-day, nearly 150-mile bike ride through one of the most gorgeous landscapes anywhere, for a cause that can change young lives.

Full Description

The route is redoubtable. Our ride starts in beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho, and follows a course along magnificent Lake Pend Oreille, through lush river valleys amid the rugged Cabinet Mountains in northwestern Montana, returning down the glacially-carved Purcell Trench. Although the distance is challenging there are no major hills or passes. 

The perks are prodigious. The CHaFE150 will treat riders in the fashion to which they would like to become accustomed! There will be great food and entertainment, attentive support along the route, fine facilities -- and of course, our very neat town of Sandpoint to explore and enjoy.  All finishers will receive a unique gift commemorating the 1st Annual CHaFE ride!

The cause is worthy. This event is being staged by the Panhandle Alliance For Education to raise money for Ready! For Kindergarten, an early childhood literacy program to help new parents and disadvantaged kids. Riders are encouraged to raise lots of donations. Riders who raise more than $1,000 will receive a very cool jersey. Other great rewards await the top fundraisers.

Our rider cap is 250 riders.
