City of Angels Fun Ride 2008 (Hybrid Route)
The City of Angels Fun Ride (May 4, 2008) had a shorter, easier, "recreational" route and a longer, more challenging, "advanced" ride. This route starts with the "recreational" route and switches to the "advanced" route about 12 miles in. (Both routes share a lot of the same roads.) This event was run with rolling road closures, so it would be challenging or impossible (or unwise) to tackle the route on an ordinary day. Some parts of the route (Griffith Park, for example, or the Cahuenga Drive section) would be fine without rolling closures. Outstanding route goes past many L.A. landmarks. Watch for this ride to take place every spring. - a 39.4 mi cycling route in Los Angeles, California
