Upperville - Bluemont - Paris loop
A loop through Loudoun County's middle valley and including a very tough climb to the top of Mount Weather. The route starts in historic Upperville, VA. It then travels through the high Piedmont through Airmont and on through Bluemont. Just at the end of town begins the monster climb to the top of Mount Weather. The road flattens out at the top of the ridge. Ride through the FEMA's Emergency Operations Center and then a steep descent down to Route 50. The ride takes a brief detour through senic Paris, VA. Then a gently rolling ride back to Upperville. Note: bring a bike with extra low gearing. Trust me you are going to need it.
