Randonn
Was I brave or stupid - or both? I took the hot new Italian babe, the Testa Rossa, out to glamourous downtown (wait for it)...Broadmeadows!!! What a brave move! I even had to tether the babe outside the local thieving, er, I mean, shopping centre for a brief entry inside there to do a transaction for a client. I brought the tickest, mother-fucking chain you have ever seen in your life to protect the babe against the local Broady Boys. Fortunately, the transaction was a swift one (albeit frustrated by the ineptitude of the commercial organisation that I was dealing with on behalf of a client) and I managed to emerge outside to the Testa Rossa, seemingly still all there, chained to a pole for its dear life. It was a hard right out there, mainly uphill and a pretty stiff northerly into the face. Who ever named "Glenroy" "Glenroy". This literally means the %u201CValley of a King%u201D, but, Urban Planners of the 20th Century, for Christ%u2019s sake, Glenroy is perched atop a huge hill, so it properly should be called %u201CMontroy%u201D, but, then, it%u2019s all too late. Return back to town via a now generally downhill run and with the wind at my back, picking up 60kmh at times. Side-stop off to a lovely lady, recently widowed, in Pascoe Vale, who lives up a rather steep hill, but the Testa Rossa climbed it without a whimper of complaint. And%u2026there was no whimpering of complaint by me, as I exited Margaret Thompson%u2019s house. This woman is miraculous. A little visit to catch up and chat, especially in light of the recent death of her Husband, saw her whip up a gastronomic feast, with rolls, buns, soup and two cakes, plus cups of tea, just utterly miraculously appearing out of nowhere. La Stupenda!!! So, I had to pedal extra hard to get rid of the 200kg of calories just consumed at that wonderful lady%u2019s place. Eventually back down to central Melbourne and a day%u2019s cycling, mixed in with work and pleasure, came to an end. PS. The mapping got a little wonky in the middle part of Jason Moran/Roberta Williams/Tuppence Moran land, as the bike path was closed for repairs and there%u2019s a little bit of %u201Cgeographical licence%u201D inserted therein by my mouse and me! - a 27.7 mi cycling route in Melbourne, Australia
